In the area there are lots of possibilities to hike through the Alentejanic landscape.
You can start directly from the apartment and hike lonely for many hours.
Possibly you might meet a shepherd with his herd
or have the opportunity to explore the ruins of left montes.
Many authentic small Alentejanic villages in the region invite you to forget time and space, sit in one of the many cafes and watch the leisurely style of life. Within 50-80 km you can visit interesting places like Beja, Évora, Alcácer do Sal, Sines or Santiago do Cacêm with lots of touristic highlights, and you can follow the tracks of romans and arabs whose influence is still visible. In a short while you can reach the wonderful beaches and cliffs of the Atlantic coast, with beautiful places like Milfontes or Zambujeira. Drive to one of the storage lakes nearby, or make a tour through the Monchique mountains. Here there's lots to explore, too! The Alentejo is a well known wine region. Make a trip to one of the vineyards and buy good and reasonably priced wine in an adega ... and there's much more. We're looking forward to your visit! |
